- Measurements funded by non-public research sources fall under the Shared Use Programme.
- Requests for measurements supported by public research funds, such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI), should be made through the Internal Joint Use Scheme.
- The PDF guidelines for the Shared Use Programme can be downloaded here.
1.共用事業の目的
The Radiocarbon Dating Laboratory supports a wide range of fields — from archaeology and, history to environmental science and, applied research — through the use of chemical treatment facilities and, a compact accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) system, which enable high-precision radiocarbon dating.
Through the shared-use programme, we make the laboratory’s available instrument capacity accessible to research institutions, government agencies, and, private companies, with the aim of contributing to new research and, development initiatives.
