The Laboratory of Radiocarbon Dating provides radiocarbon dating by accelerator mass spectrometry, including chemical pretreatment, to support academic research at the University of Tokyo. Measurements are offered on a cost-recovery basis.
From October 2016, the laboratory has also been open for non-academic use by making effective use of the system’s available operating capacity. This framework, known as the Shared Use Programme, is accessible to research institutes, government bodies, and, private companies.

測定依頼の種類
- 学内共同利用
- 学術研究にかかわる利用を対象とします。
- 科学研究費補助金など公的研究資金をもとにした測定依頼は、学術研究に該当するものとします。
- 研究プロジェクトに東京大学に所属する研究者が参画する場合は、学外からの依頼でも学内共同利用に相当します。
- 共用事業
- 学術研究以外でも利用できます。
- 利用の形態には、成果公開と成果占有があります。
- 公的研究費以外の資金による測定は共用事業に該当します。
